The first triennial term of the three NCP members Elin M. Myrmel-Johansen, Gro Granden and Jan-Erik Korssjøen expires on 1 March 2014. Several of these have notified that they do will not stand for renomination.
The Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs coordinates the process of appointing new members, but this is somewhat delayed. As far as the NCP is aware the Ministry will ask the three current members to remain in their positions until new members have been appointed. Chair of the NCP, Hans Petter Graver, is appointed for a four-year term and retains the position until 1 March 2015. Both the Chair and the members can be reappointed for one term.
