The NCP has updated the RBC Compass – a self-assessment tool that provides an overview of how your company meets the expectations set out in the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises on Responsible Business Conduct. The guidelines were updated in 2023 and form the basis for much of the regulatory development regarding sustainability and responsible business conduct.

The RBC Compass gives an introduction to the expectations in the OECD Guidelines. In the excel-based tool, you are asked to rate statements about your company’s performance in terms of expectations in the OECD guidelines, define what goals you have and what measures you plan to achieve the goals. One can also start by simply entering the current status and filling in goals and actions as you go.

All topics in the OECD guidelines have been given a separate sheet in the excel tool – from human rights to anti-corruption and the environment and climate. Everything is then summarized in a separate dashboard. In this way, management and the board can also quickly get an overview of compliance gaps.

The tool is based on the OECD Guidelines (2023). The update has been developed by the NCP in collaboration with KPMG.

You can download the tool in English or Norwegian.

The tool is for free use. In the event of a reproduction of the entire or an extract of the tool, credit is given to the Norwegian Point for Responsible Business Conduct.
